“Dying to self”

I want to be noticed and I want to feel loved

And my biggest fan is my Father above.

But I frustrate myself, cause my focus turns in,

And my selfish kingdom is sparkling.

I want to have freedom, but too blind to see

That my stumbling block is actually me.

Check your priorities and get out of the way.

Don’t you know that this is His day?

Hate your life and cash it in,

It never matters how long it’s been.

Don’t ever forget that your life is His,

Or divine opportunities will be lost in the mix.

Keep it simple and obey Him first.

His Word only will quench your thirst.

Seek first His Kingdom, His only desire,

Now step back and watch as He sets you on fire.

“He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life,” John‬ ‭12‬:‭25‬.
